Annual Gifts to the SMH Foundation may be unrestricted, meaning they are used where the need is greatest, or they may be restricted for specific purposes. These gifts sustain the organization and help our efforts to grow.
Our Annual Giving Program supports patient care at Slidell Memorial Hospital. We welcome your contributions in response to our spring and fall appeals and special fund-raising campaigns. Gifts to the Annual Giving Program are mostly unrestricted, allowing the Foundation Board to use them where they are needed most.
Our annual givers receive special recognition at the following levels:
Signature Giver—$50,000+
- Name or logo on donor bench in Hospital
- Invitation to annual foundation dinner

Pillar Giver—$25,000+

President’s Council—$5,000+

The SMH Foundation looks forward to forming new partnerships with the business community of St. Tammany and beyond. Corporate contributions fund important initiatives in community health education, prevention and wellness. Businesses of all sizes can make investments in healthcare by supporting the efforts of Slidell Memorial Hospital.
Tribute gifts are a wonderful way to recognize a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, birth, or other notable life event. Or like many SMH patients and their families, you may make your gift in recognition of the excellent care given by a physician, nurse or other caregiver. You can also remember loved ones, friends or colleagues by making a tribute gift in their memory. A personalized card will be mailed to the person or family you designate to let them know of your thoughtful gift.
Many companies match charitable gifts made by employees, retirees and directors. Please check with your company’s personnel department to see if your business matches gifts to hospitals and you can double the impact of your gift. Just send us the paperwork and we’ll fill it out for you.
Slidell Memorial is known to be a small town Hospital with big city services. As we expand and enhance our facility, there is opportunity for our donors to honor a friend or loved one by “naming” a space. These significant tributes are long-lasting and highly visible. SMH recently broke ground for a new, state-of-the art cancer center, offering comprehensive services under one roof. Not only will we raise the level of cancer care in our community, but our high quality services will encourage patients to seek in-state care. Endowment gifts create long-term stability and the SMH Foundation will deposit your endowment contribution into an interest-bearing account that will continue to grow.
